Bi-Luo-Chun, a revered member of China's top ten famous teas and a green tea with a history spanning over a millennium, originates from the East Dongting Mountain and West Dongting Mountain regions in Wu County, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Often referred to as "Dongting Bi Luo Chun," this tea has ancient roots, dating back to the Tang Dynasty when it was considered a tribute tea and was known as "Gongfu Tea" or "New Blood Tea." The premium Bi Luo Chun features incredibly delicate tea buds, with 60,000 to 70,000 buds needed for just 0.5 kilograms of dried tea. After processing, it exhibits tightly rolled, silver-green leaves with a captivating emerald hue, resembling spirals due to its spring harvest, hence the name "Bi Luo Chun." Its infusion unfolds with swirling white clouds and a refreshing aroma, making it a cherished gem among Chinese teas, primarily crafted through the steps of fixation, rolling, twisting to reveal the buds, and final green frying.
